Panoramic Photos from Greece
No, I don't have a wide angle lens. These are simply composites of several photos taken from our recent trip to the Adriatic and Aegean Seas. It was a two week voyage and there is so much to write about. Hopefully later, I'll be able to blog about the whole trip, but for now here's a teaser. These photos come from two idyllic Greek islands. Click on each to get a bigger picture.
Rhodes
Rhodes was a tourist haven. There were lots of beaches (mostly hotel-owned) and lots of shopping. Most of buildings date back to the 14th Century. Downtown architecture consisted of a picturesque mix of the modern and medieval. Long and I sat at a bar steadily downing about two liters of beer each while Mary and Megan shopped. This was the view from where we sat.

Santorini
These islands were unbelievably beautiful. The geography was unique. The islands of Santorini were all part of a volcano. The crater was underwater and several parts of the rim of that crater stuck out above the water to form a circular collection of islands. The outer coasts were beaches and the inner coasts were cliffs. Here was one black sand beach. The water was especially cold (about 40 degrees Fahrenheit).

Unfortunately, that's all for now. But, I promise to write about a few more details. You should check out Paige's blog to see what she did while we were away.
